There was a mass reenlistment ceremony Oct. 4 in the headquarters conference room. Soldiers from the U.S. Army Medical Reasearch and Materiel Command headquarters, U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency, U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center-Europe, U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine recited the reenlistment oath and told Maj. Gen. James Gilman, commanding general of MRMC and Fort Detrick and other guests why they decided to stay in the Army. "The Army's been good to me. I would like to continue to serve," said Spc. Soloman Nena, a Soldier at WRAIR.
