The U.S. Army Research Institute of Infectious Diseases swept the Fort Detrick Garrison Non-commissioned officer and Soldier of the Year competition. Sgt. Ester Collins and Spc. Angela Murphy were recognized as the winners Dec. 22. The Garrison competition consisted of two days of grueling events with three NCOs and two Soldiers competing. Collins and Murphy will represent USAMRIID for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command's NCO and Soldier of the Year competition.
