The Army proudly announces that Command Sgt. Maj. Kevin B. Stuart as the 2011 DoD Blacks In Government award recipient.

His contributions to his unit, the Army, and his community in the field of human relations and diversity make him a role model for others to emulate. Each year, DoD solicits nominations for this prestigious award. Stuart was selected as the MEDCOM nominee and competed against nominees from other Army Commands and Direct Reporting Units across the Army. As the DA recipient, Stuart competed against recipients from other Uniformed Services.

The 2011 DoD BIG recipient will be announced at the 33rd Annual BIG National Training Conference held in Boston, Mass. Aug. 22-25.

BIG's goals are to promote equity in all aspects of American life, excellence in public service, and opportunity for all Americans.
