The Medical Support Systems Project Management Office and Medical Prototype Development Laboratory team met with Lt. Gen. Eric B. Schoomaker in front of the USAMMDA building where they had displayed a mine-resistant ambush protected - all terrain vehicle ambulance. In 2010, the team won the National Security and International Affairs medal at the Service to America Medals for their work with the MRAP program, specifically the casualty evacuation conversion kits that facilitated casualty evacuation on the battlefield thus saving lives.
