Americans set aside Veterans Day to pay special tribute to our nation's veterans for their service and sacrifice. Many of those veterans have benefited from military medicine and their experiences have influenced the care of today's service members.

At the National Museum of Health and Medicine we highlight the advancements made in military medicine. Many of those advancements have helped bring more troops home alive and aided their recovery from battlefield injuries.

We will observe Veterans Day with an open house, which will include tours for veterans. We will also feature a special photograph exhibit.
