USAMMCE Holds Appointment Ceremony for New Command Sergeant Major
The U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe, held a ceremony for the appointment of Sgt. Maj. William L. Majors to Command Sergeant Major May 14. Along with family, colleagues, and friends, guests of the ceremony included Command Sgt. Maj. Robert C. Luciano, Europe Regional Medical Command, Command Sgt. Maj. Michael L. Gragg, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Command Sgt. Maj. Clark J. Charpentier, Troop command sergeant major, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, and Sgt. Maj. Eric P. Holland, Public Health Command.
In his speech, Luciano mentioned that he was happy that Major's oldest son, William, Jr. (19), will stay in the "family business," as he is joining the Army as a private first class on May 16. The new command sergeant major said that he is very proud of his son.
Majors has spent the past two years at USAMMCE and will be heading to 115th MDFIELD in Fort Polk, La., to serve as command sergeant major.
