Werner Becker, the District Mayor of Rodalben, Germany, presented Col. William M. Stubbs, commander of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe, with the Graefenstein Medaille and a certificate June 11.

The Graefenstein Medaille is the coin of Rodalben County. It was presented as a token of appreciation in light of the long-standing friendship between Rodalben and USAMMCE.

As a recipient of the U.S. Army Medical Department's "Friends of the Regiment" award, Becker wanted to acknowledge Stubbs as the colonel prepares to depart Germany.
