A select group of Soldiers from the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command were honored for their inclusion on the fiscal year 2013 list of candidates for Commander/Command Sergeant Major selection by Lt. Gen. Patricia D. Horoho, U.S. Army Surgeon General and commanding general of the U.S. Army Medical Command.

Included among the list of commanders are Col. Steven E. Braverman, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Col. Russell E. Coleman, Chemical Biological Medical Systems, Col. Erin P. Edgar, U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Lt. Col. Anthony R. Nesbitt, 6th Medical Logistics Management Center, and Col. John A. Smyrski III, U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory.
