Maj. Gen. James Gilman, commanding general of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, visited the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine High Altitude Research Laboratory located at the summit of Pikes Peak, Colo. (14,110 ft). The laboratory is where research critical to the national defense is conducted every year.
