The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command's Principal Assistant for Acquisition, Dr. Kenneth Bertram and the Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center's, Vision Program Manager, Mr. Robert Read attended The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology's 2014 Annual Meeting, May 3-8. Bertram and Read were attending to share upcoming programs and research opportunities with ARVO members. Bertram presented a well-attended lecture on the recently formed Horus Vision Restoration Project, which aims to bring together military and industry leaders in the vision field. Read gave two separate talks highlighting research opportunities available with MRMC and Fort Detrick.
