On Aug. 14, the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe Commander Col. Erik Rude hosted a Silver Caduceus Society meeting at Husterhoeh Kaserne in Pirmasens, Germany.

More than 35 officers from the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Regional Health Command-Europe, Public Health Command-Europe, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, 30th Medical Brigade and its subordinate units, and the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade attended the meeting. The meeting consisted of an officer professional development presentation on the "Promotion Board Process" and a tour of USAMMCE.

Rude, who recently participated on a promotion board, shared his experiences and provided insight. During the tour, the officers were able to gain a perspective on how medical materiel is processed and shipped.
