USAMMDA Hosts First Vendor Day
The U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity hosted its first vendor day in support of the Medical Product Research and Development Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract Dec. 7. The MPRD IDIQ was awarded to four companies in July 2015.
"The vendors day was meant to provide an opportunity for requiring activities to learn about the capabilities of the MPRD prime and sub-contractors," said Kathleen Berst, deputy commander for acquisition at USAMMDA.
The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command and USAMRMC subcommands were invited to the event to talk with prime vendors as well as supporting subcontractors in an effort to learn more about basic capabilities to fulfill requirements.
The MRPD IDIQ contract covers all aspects of product development. There are four awardees to the contact: DVC, LLC, A CSRA Company; PPD Development; Leidos; and TASC, an Engility Company.
