Bertram (left) received the distinction of "honorary medical logistician" April 13, presented by Col. David R. Gibson (right), the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency Commander & Medical Acquisition Consultant to the Surgeon General. Becoming an Army medical logistician typically takes years. The honor recognizes Dr. Bertram's recent completion of an "intense, five-day, didactic, and practical application course for medical logistics" while transiting medical organizations supporting the Army's generating and operating forces throughout the Korean Theater of Operations.
