On June 2, the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command held a retirement ceremony for USAMRMC Chief of Staff Col. Alejandro (Alex) Lopez-Duke. Maj. Gen. Brian C. Lein, former commander of the USAMRMC, officiated the ceremony at Fort Detrick's Nallin Pond. The ceremony, which was attended by family, friends and coworkers, was a reflection of Lopez-Duke's esteemed 30 year career as an Army medical logistician and leader.
