Spring Research Festival Awards Ceremony Honors Winners
Winners of the Fort Detrick Spring Research Festival scientific poster competition and the symposium lecture were presented with their awards during a ceremony June 19 at Fort Detrick's Community Activities Center.
The Spring Research Festival was held May 2-3 and was hosted by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command in conjunction with the National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research, a committee comprising representatives from each of the research entities at Fort Detrick and NCI at Frederick.
Approximately 1,000 people attended the event, which is in its 21st year. The committee received 117 posters from students and scientists.
The event included two seminar sessions, eight symposium lectures, a poster blitz and a poster session. During the event, scientific staff, including students, technical support staff, postdoctoral fellows, and principal investigators, had the opportunity to present their research to the joint scientific communities.
