This year's theme is pre-hospital care. Col. Dallas Hack, director of the U.S. Army Combat Casualty Care Research Program, Col. Lorne Blackbourne, commander of the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, and Capt. (retired) Frank Butler.
The ATACCC is the Department of Defenses' premier scientific meeting that focuses on the battlefield medical needs of our Nation's warfighters and on recent advances in trauma surgery and medicine. Previous ATACCC meetings have proven successful in providing the broadest possible view of combat casualty care as it is applied in the operational environment.
The conference generates intense discussion, focused meetings, and informative presentations to help identify strategies and set goals and milestones for the DOD's combat casualty care research programs.
