From illness to injury, the DHA R&D-MRDC is the only organization solely focused on research and development to address the military's unique medical readiness requirements. DHA R&D-MRDC conducts cutting-edge biomedical research to address the unique challenges faced by the warfighters and is positioned to deliver innovative solutions that enhance military health and readiness. DHA R&D-MRDC continues to lead the charge in military medical research to ensure that Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines are equipped to meet the demands of modern warfare.
Highly qualified scientists work in one of the six medical research laboratories that execute the science and technology program to investigate medical solutions for the battlefield with a focus on various areas of biomedical research, including military infectious diseases, combat casualty care, military operational medicine, medical chemical and biological defense, and clinical and rehabilitative medicine. The R&D-MRDC's expertise in these critical areas helps establish and maintain the capabilities the military needs to fight and win on the battlefield.
