- The following is of list of offices, hours, and locations where civilian employees may receive information or help on employee and work related issues.
- Inspector General (IG)
- The IG determines the state of the command's economy, efficiency, discipline, morale, mission performance, teaching & training, and readiness as directed by the Commanding General (CG). The IG is an extension of the eyes, ears, voice and conscience of the commander, conducts inspections and investigations on behalf of the CG. The IG maintains a system in which everyone is provided assistance in resolving problems relating to Soldiers, Family Members, civilians and retirees, while protecting confidentiality to the maximum extent possible and guarding against reprisal.
- Bldg 1520, Room 210 A, Freedman Drive, Ft. Detrick, MD 21702. The IG Staff can be reached at 301-619-9966/2349/2995, DSN 343-9966/2349/2995 and Fax: 301-619-8571. The hours of operation are 0730 - 1130 and 1230 - 1630.
- Requests for IG assistance, correction of injustices affecting an individual, or eliminating conditions considered detrimental to the efficiency or reputation of the Army are made on DA Form 1559.
- Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
- The Equal Employment Opportunity Office assists the commands of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Detrick organizations, and the Raven Rock Mountain Complex in their commitment to equal employment opportunity through implementation of strong equal employment opportunity and affirmative employment programs without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, or physical or mental disability.
- The office is responsible for processing discrimination complaints and managing the Special Emphasis Program. It provides Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Equal Employment Opportunity, Complaints Processing, No Fear Act, Special Emphasis Program Manager and Reasonable Accommodation Training, and Non-EEO (workplace) Mediation. - Inspector General (IG)
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- The purpose of the Army Employee Assistance Program is manifold. EAP helps employees in identifying and resolving personal problems that may affect their job performance and well being. EAP also assists management in addressing productivity issues. EAP also promotes installation work/life/wellness programs. EAP objectives are as follows: (1) All new DAC employees are promptly trained on the availability of EAP services; (2) All supervisors of civilian employees receive training on the signs and symptoms of substance abuse and how and when to make proper use of EAP services. Annual training to be conducted for 33% of assigned supervisors; (3) The purpose and availability of EAP services are actively promoted and publicized throughout the year; and (4) Annual training on such topics as stress management, EAP services, prevention of violence in the workplace, etc., to be conducted for at least 20% of the civilian workforce.

- Members of collective bargaining units should reference their bargaining agreements for further guidance on the grievance procedures.
- All other civilian employees that are not members of a collective bargaining unit may look to DoD Subchapter 771 (DoD Civilian Personnel Manual) Administrative Grievance System for further guidance on filing a grievance with the government.
