DHA R&D

The Defense Health Agency Research & Development is a vital component of the Defense Health Agency, dedicated to advancing military medical research and innovation. DHA R&D oversees cutting-edge biomedical research that directly supports Warfighter health, readiness, and resilience.

DHA R&D operates in close collaboration with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (MRDC), working under unified leadership to deliver innovative solutions that address the health challenges faced by military personnel. Together, DHA R&D and MRDC ensure that research efforts are aligned with Department of War priorities, leveraging their combined expertise to enhance readiness and operational effectiveness.

Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR):
A global leader in infectious disease research, brain health, and Soldier performance optimization.

U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID):

U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR):
