Its work includes the development of bio-scavenger pretreatments for nerve agent exposure, which provide protection for up to two weeks, and the Rapid Opioid Countermeasure System, a naloxone auto-injector designed to treat opioid intoxication in military settings. USAMRICD's research ensures that Soldiers are equipped to operate safely in environments where chemical hazards are present, while advancing medical countermeasures for emerging threats.
