(Fort Detrick, Md.) -- The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command invites you to the 2012 Military Health System Research Symposium (formerly known as the Advanced Technology Applications for Combat Casualty Care (ATACCC) Aug. 13-16 at the Harbor Beach Marriott, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
By combining the Advanced Technology Applications for Combat Casualty Care Conference, the Air Force Medical Service Medical Research Symposium, and the Navy Medicine Research Conference, MHSRS will become the DoD's premier scientific meeting to address the unique medical needs of the warfighter.
The MHSRS is sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs to include the participation of the U.S. Army and Navy Medical Research Programs and the Air Force Surgeon General's Office. It will focus on the evolving military medical operational environment and the technologies available today and in the future that can be used to meet these increasingly complex demands to assure improved health outcomes. Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring that the DoD medical research programs are aligned to best fulfill the Military Health System goals.
