Amendment Submission Instructions

ACURO must review and approve significant changes/major modifications to animal work subject to ACURO oversight BEFORE the modifications can be implemented The ACURO Protocol Change Policy defines significant changes/major modification that require submission to ACURO. Minor changes/minor modifications, as defined in the ACURO Protocol Change Policy, do not require ACURO review and approval.

• Submission to ACURO is not required

Significant changes/major modifications
(extramural and intramural):

• Submit the documents listed below for processing to usarmy.detrick.medcom-usamrmc.other.acuro@health.mil
  • IACUC amendment approval
  • For changes in protocol PI, a signed ACURO PI Assurances MUST be provided.
  • IACUC approved amendment
• When submitting a revised protocol as an amendment, the protocol MUST be highlighted to show where changes can be found, specifically what parts of the protocol were amended. Alternatively, provide a detailed description of the changes made along with a statement that no other changes were made to the protocol besides those indicated.
